Deep Down Under

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder
But when he's away I feel pain and loneliness deep down under

He makes me smile
He makes me laugh
When I'm feeling too lonely and want to cry
I call his name and his voice interrupts my fall
I can tell him anything from my soul and know when I'm finished he's the only one I've told

Many say he's not the one and he's not what you need because they seem to know all things
But I respond with "When I'm with him my mind, body, and soul is complete
I feel his spirit within from head to feet

I want him to know that our conversations may never cease
Though we go through hard times
I'm here to return the joy and happiness that's missed

So now I know that distance does make the heart grow fonder
And anyone who doesn't trust that can look in my eyes
And see how it truly feel deep down under
